Joerg Nicht

Joerg Nicht is a photographer working in the fields of architecture, travel and street photography for commercial projects and private commissions. In spite of a busy professional life, he continues to dedicate extra time to his personal, ambitious picture series. Based in Berlin and working globally, Joerg is one of Germany’s best known and most followed photographers on Instagram. Joerg’s impactful pictures discover fascinating colour and beauty in the aestheticism of the everyday and the extraordinary. Joerg has developed a distinct contemporary visual language in photography. He combines his art with the dynamic nature and his profound knowledge of social media. With a doctorate that focussed on social networks in schools, Joerg worked at Free University Berlin as an academic and published author. Since adolescence photography and social science have been his constant passions. Today Joerg remains fascinated by the ever changing interplay of art and social relationships. He continues to write regularly on these themes and speaks in German and international media.
