Mastering Your Leica Q: Functions, Features & Photography Training

This workshop is tailored for Leica Q2, Q3, Q-P, Q Monochrom, and Q3 43 owners who seek in-depth coaching on both their photography skills and technical understanding of their camera. The session begins with an intensive 2-hour technical deep dive, where you will learn every function of your camera—from exposure settings to focus modes and image styles. Following this, you will head out for a 4-hour hands-on photography experience, applying your newly acquired skills in real-world scenarios.

  • Using the EVF & LCD Screen – Learn when and why to use the electronic viewfinder versus the screen for different shooting conditions.
  • Auto vs. Manual Exposure – Gain control over your exposure settings and understand when to rely on auto modes versus full manual adjustments.

Dominic Verhulst - Leica Akademie Netherlands

Dominic Verhulst

Dominic Verhulst (born in 1964) is a Belgian photographer currently based in Berlin and Los Angeles. He studied photography for five years in Belgium and has participated in numerous international workshops. Over the course of his 38-year career, his primary focus has been architectural photography, reportage, and documentary photography for both corporate and editorial magazines. He worked as a photographer for The Financial Times (De Tijd – L’Echo) in Belgium and Los Angeles for ten years. His work has taken him to more than 80 countries worldwide. Since 2019, he has been teaching workshops in architectural, reportage, and documentary photography at the Leica Akademie in Germany. He is a member of the ID Photo Agency in Belgium, the Deutsche Presse Verband in Germany, and the foreign press centers of the U.S. Department of State in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and New York.
